His father was Henry Sturgis Morgan and mother Catherine Frances Lovering Adams the daughter of Frances Lovering and Charles Francis Adams III, who was the U.S. Secretary of the navy Under hoover and the direct descendant of U.S. Presidents John Adams and John Quincy Adams.
